Edmore Kwaramba, C. Ped Tech (C), C. Ped (C)
Edmore Kwaramba was only 26 years old when he was working as the national sales director for an international company in his native country.
When the country’s political and economic situation took a big hit, the young man joined his parents who had migrated and found success in the United Kingdom.
Edmore’s plan was to come to Canada as an international student and bring his new business knowledge back to the UK where he could venture into business with his father.
Then he stumbled upon the Pedorthic profession as a Brock University student in St. Catharines.
He was hired to work in a fabrication foot orthotic lab – pouring molds, cleaning them, vacuuming pressing to produce positive casts, and gluing material to the positive shells in preparation for grinding to make foot orthotics.
Edmore knew that his hard work would pay off in the end and his father’s advice helped him get through the hard times.
He received his C. Ped (C) designation and moved to Calgary where he joined a large orthotic foot lab as a lab manager. In this role, he gained valuable experience to help him in the business world.
When he left Calgary to return to St. Catharines, he worked as a Pedorthist and studied business and leadership skills at Niagara College. Shortly afterwards, he decided to open his own clinic in St. Catharines.
Edmore believes Pedorthics is a career that is satisfying because you give people back their ability to walk pain-free. It’s a profession that gives you the leverage to use your skills – be it art, physics, science, you name it – with the end result of customer satisfaction. He always tells people he has the best job in the whole entire world.
Today, Edmore, also a Doctor of Natural Medicine, is the proud owner of his own establishment in the Niagara region, which includes Pedorthic clinics and satellite locations.
When he’s not on the job, Ed can be found on the golf course or staying active at the local gym and spinning studio.
